Statement, Works on Canvas and Wood
We are living in the midst of a changing world. For me, the ocean simultaneously represents nature's most delicate beauty and its raw destructive force. The seashore is a divide between the comfort of land and the wild fury of the unknown—and something capable of changing the landscape of our habitable environment. In some ways, my works are a metaphor for the precipice on which we are now perched, and a meditation of a seascape that changes so quickly, both kinetically and environmentally, as to become a thing of perpetual memory.
